In a printed, folding paper, random-access format (book) or PDF the sequence on this ship will me much easier to make sense of. But in this weekly installment mode it just drags no matter how thoughtfully planned.
I wish the story would just get to the point.
For about a month I have been trying to figure out how to say that, not in a negative way, but just as a viewpoint from “out here” that you might appreciate as honest feedback.

I appreciate your loyal reading. This comic has beaten the ever-loving shit out of me, both creatively and financially. I’m sorry it won’t go the pace you’d like, but there’s literally nothing I can do about it without giving you month-long gaps between pages. Thanks for the crit, and I wish I could accommodate more directly. I promise it’ll be collected when it’s all finished.

The quality of the artwork makes up a lot of the difference, but when you have a lot of characters and must switch to their various viewpoints, it’s more than most can handle. This seems to be the most difficult approach and a leading reason why they stop- because the overworked creator(s) run(s) out of steam trying to keep the action moving when the production design keeps bogging it down. If this was a movie, the director might opt for a few more “long-shots” to make it easier to get from A to B without a lot of excessive work that’s less important to the overall story.
